## 26 October 2026: submitted to the Shopify App Store

- Khaleeji COD was submitted to the Shopify App Store for review on 26 October 2026. Shopify hasn't
approved it yet, so it isn't listed on the App Store.
- This help site moved to its own address, khaleejicod.com.

## 26 October 2026: version khaleeji-cod-4

- Kuwait governorate codes now match. Shopify writes Kuwait's governorates with the country already
in front, such as `KW-JA` for Al Jahra. The app used to add a second `KW-`, so a Kuwait code in
**Hide COD in these emirates or regions** never matched. It now adds the country only when it's
missing. UAE codes such as `AE-AZ` work as before. See
[setting up Khaleeji COD for Kuwait](/help/setup-kuwait/).
- Arabic spelling variants match. Before comparing COD method names and city names, the app now
  removes vowel marks, tanween and tatweel, and reads «أ إ آ ٱ» as «ا», «ى» as «ي» and «ة» as «ه».
Hyphens and underscores read as spaces. So «الدفع نقدًا عند الإستلام» counts as COD, and «جده»
matches a city entry written «جدة».
- City entries can be limited to one country. Put a two-letter country code and a colon first, such
as `KW:Salwa`, and COD is hidden for that city only in that country. A plain name still matches in
every country. The help text under **Hide COD in these cities** explains this in English and
Arabic. See [city rules for one country only](/help/country-city-rules/).
- The checkout rule and the refuser scan use one list of COD names. The scan now also finds
cancelled orders paid with "Pay on Delivery", "Cash-on-Delivery", "(COD)", "C.O.D",
«الدفع عند التسليم» and «الدفع نقدا عند الاستلام», the same methods the checkout rule recognises.
- The scan skips customers who already have `cod-blocked` as well as `cod-refused`, in any mix of
  capital and small letters.
- The Free plan's GCC preset can be saved. On Free, **Use GCC preset** now turns on only **Hide COD
when the cart is above** plus the Arabic and English COD name, and a new Free store's form starts
the same way. Before, the preset turned on four rules, which the Free plan wouldn't save. On Pro
the preset is unchanged. See [Free or Pro](/help/free-vs-pro/).
- The money-lost report has its own message when the scan finds no cancelled COD orders in the last
  60 days.

## 26 October 2026: the new name, and a money report based on shipped orders

- The app took the name Khaleeji COD (Arabic listing name «خليجي للدفع عند الاستلام»), replacing the
app's working name before 26 October 2026. The admin page, the privacy policy and the terms use
the new name. Stores that had already saved rules keep them. The checkout rule's title in
Shopify changes to the new name the next time you click **Save rules**.
- The money-lost report now counts only cancelled COD orders that had shipped, meaning Shopify
recorded a fulfillment for them. Each one costs your shipping out plus your shipping back. Orders
cancelled before shipping are listed separately as costing no shipping. Before this change, the
report multiplied every cancelled COD order by the shipping costs. Tagging still uses every
cancelled COD order. See [how the money-lost report is calculated](/help/money-lost-report/).
- The English scan, tagging and money-report messages read correctly when there's only one order.
- After you tag customers, the scan result moves their orders into the "already tagged" count
  straight away.

## 25 October 2026: first version, tested on development stores

- A Shopify Function (payment customization) that hides or renames Cash on Delivery at checkout,
with six rules: tagged customers, cart above an amount, first order above an amount, products
tagged `no-cod`, emirates or regions, and cities. It never changes cards, Apple Pay or other
methods, and it does nothing if its settings are missing or broken.
- The GCC preset, which fills in the form in one click.
- The admin page in Arabic and English, right to left for Arabic. It follows your Shopify admin
language and has a العربية / English switch.
- Free (the COD name plus one rule) and Pro ($7.99/month with a 14-day free
trial: every rule, the refuser scan and the money-lost report), billed through Shopify.
- The refuser scan for cancelled COD orders from the last 60 days. The tag button appears only
after a scan finds customers to tag, and a clear message shows if Shopify hasn't yet approved the
  app to read customer data.
- Links to the privacy policy and terms at the bottom of the admin page.
